I just attended two very sad funerals, my 57 year old brother-in-law and my 32 year old nephew. Both to forms of Stomach Cancer.
As I study soil science; I am becoming more and more convinced we are not getting the nutrients we need to fight diseases.
There is a very complex process where micro-organisms break down iron, zinc, etc and exchange in a symbiotic relationship with plants who produce the photosynthesis process.
As our farms have moved to chemicals to create artificial environments and modified plants, I believe we are no longer getting those nutrients from our food, even if they are labeled Organic.
These modified fruits and vegetables look "pretty", but we all know there is no taste. The plants we raise in our back yards, such as tomatoes, have great taste. Our taste buds maybe one of our best tests.
However a tomatoes that everyone wants to raise is not giving you much in the way of nutrients compared to spinach, kale and beats. We've talked about Jerry Baker who was terminal and turned his life around with that mix in a drink. However he did also spiritually get to the point he had no anger toward old grudges and was exercising every day. So as we've discussed in this blog, health is never about just one thing.
However food is what powers the machine. What is in that food is critical to it's well being.
If we will start growing food, in soil with good nutrients, and add that to our mental and physical health, we are on the healthy path.
